The Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha Temple is the spiritual heart of the Simhachalam hills. Situated at approximately 244 metres above sea level, the temple is dedicated to the Varaha Lakshmi Narasimha form of Lord Vishnu.

The temple is celebrated for its impressive stone architecture. The complex features a square shrine, carved mandapams, pillars, verandahs and detailed ornamental work. The district tourism department describes the temple as an exceptionally sculpted shrine with elaborate carvings depicting traditional and Vaishnavite themes.

The Natya Mandapam, supported by 96 intricately carved black-stone pillars, is another remarkable architectural element. Historical inscriptions found within the complex also add to its heritage significance.

The temple area is not only important for religious tourism but also for its scenic hill environment. Green vegetation, winding roads and elevated viewpoints create an attractive setting around the sacred complex.

Important festivals associated with the temple include Kalyanotsavam, Chandana Yatra and Visakha Poornima, which attract large numbers of devotees.
