Vontimitta is one of the important pilgrimage and heritage destinations in the Kadapa region of Andhra Pradesh.

The centerpiece of the town is the Sri Kodandarama Swamy Temple, an impressive example of South Indian temple architecture. Constructed in the traditional stone-building style, the temple features an imposing entrance, sculpted pillars, ornate architectural details and beautifully carved stonework.
